  1. I know I’m not dying (despite conversations with cardiologist and oncologist) as I must vaccuum and dust, do laundry, get meds from pharmacy, wash dishes, rake up the endless blanket of leaves,go to dentist, worry about this and that and must pay household bills. However, delightful sparks are appearing when I go to the mailbox and discover a card from a long, long, long ago friend from whom I’ve not heard from in decades. Comforting to know a lot of my college frat buddies from 1967 – 1971 are still around. None of us should still be around as the dangerous insanity at which we engaged five and a half decades ago should have wiped out all of us.
