Susan on the way home from work she was hit from beyond in the middle lane and she spinning from one guard rail to another.
The car was totaled – Susan only hit her head and the ambulance took her to the local hospital after a cat scan she was discharged and that was the worst!
The car that hit her took off… another car stopped to aid her and direct traffic so she won’t be hit again! He was a retired police officer and a EMT …
I was on the phone with her when she got hit ! You can imagine listening to her words and screams.. “I’m going to die!” one of her phrases and Shit…Shit… and others among that line of recourse…
I had to walk with the phone on to my next door neighbor to get me a ride to the where she had bit hit- they had taken her to the ER already but we needed to find out what’s going on with the towing and County police…
After we took care of that Nicole drove me to ER to stay with Susan. I texted her sister in law about the accident- “ glad she’s ok, let me know otherwise!” ( Susan has no close family in state).
Her son was doing finals that week and we needed help getting him there! No help from that quarter!
I started calling my friends, Lisa helped the next morning, Susan’s friends helped the rest of the week!
She couldn’t get a rental there was a shortage of cars! Finally she got one on Thursday it was a minivan! Of course she had to pay premium over her allowed allowance of insurance!
Tow weeks later she was told that her car was totaled and they will pay off her loan and she would have $10k left for a down payment for another car.
She got lucky she got a certified Buick Encore and she walked out with a car from dealer two days later!
During 3 weeks of stress getting Susan back on the road no one from her in laws offered help!
She even got a text from her sister in law 3 days after accident- The mother in law was going to be alone for the weekend- can she go visit her! Susan should make an effort to see her with her son – not just see her grandson whenshe drives her son from school! ( year round because of one car mother in law would pick up grandson from school and drop him home).
Imagine that 3 days after a major accident- thank God she lived to tell the tale, they asked to brave the highway with a minivan rental to go see her mother in law! She has a car! She drives to do nail, hair and waxing! Why not come over and offer to take them to dinner!
On top of that mother in law suggests that her grandson start driving to school!
He’s a sophomore- 16 years old! Just learning to drive! And he can’t park at school until Senior year! There no street parking!
So Susan will be obliged to buy another car by September – October so that way I can drive him and pick up until he can by himself!
What a in law family! Her husband must be turning in his grave!
By the way someone called in anonymously the license plate of the car that hit Susan and now they face criminal chargers for leaving the scene of the accident!
It been a crazy 4 weeks!

At least she survived without serious consequence like disability. Too many families ask for your help, but when you need help, “sorry, but…'”
