Not Invited

My friend’s sister in law is having a garden birthday gathering for her 3 year old- she specified that I can’t attend do to their fear of being infected by COVID, and requested of the family attending to wear masks at all time and my friend feels even worst now because her husband has MS and the heat index today at 3 pm is going to be 100… they are attending because it is their nephew after all- she will be by herself and not to go near kids due to her working the hospital… while her husband and son will be place at a table 12’ away under an umbrella!

I’m glad I’m not invited- would have felt awkward by being there and feel like I’m a locust.

Best part these are people that take out food and No delivery- her husband picks up! ( 3rd on most dangerous list of being infected, mail is 1st of course!)

Grandma has not come here to my friend’s home but she’s there all the time- kids started school again ( kindergarten).

Laughing my ass off on their idiocies? Yes!

  2. Sigh. Gatherings are so stressful, especially right now when things are going crazy. I’d be happy to stay home too, and that’s exactly what I do unless I’m really stuck and have to go somewhere. Stay safe. ❤

We go no where, and let no one come to our home, with the exception of mail, Its been rough, since my kids can basically work from anywhere there is WIFI, Its difficult, but necessary to say no and think of not only ourselves but those around us. Your definitely not a locust, and never would, or could be. I would be happy to be uninvited as well, as I wouldn’t have gone. Stay safe and healthy, both physically and mentally in this difficult time. We are trying!! XXXkat
