There are some I cannot imagine ever forgiving. A daughter that abandons her children to relish in the “wonderful” world of crack cocaine ? Sorry Jesus. That forgive 7 x 70 stuff does not work for me. However, for those that have hurt and betrayed I have gotten past the need for revenge. I keep my own side of the street in order in that I try to live in a way that I will never be the source of anyone’s misfortune or pain. I am not able to forgive myself. I am not a god with such authority. It is absurd and delusional thinking. I do allow myself the consolation that I did not know the way, did not handle things well and was not walking in or absorbing the Light.
