My 18 month temporary employment has finished and I find myself again with time on my hands. But, inspiration is not urging me to commit. Sometimes I wonder how professional writers and proven authors do it when they have writer’s block?
It was a stressful year, not easy trying to cram a 10 hour day into 7 hours! Work started at 7 am to 4 pm arriving home by 6 pm.
I find that just being at home, reading and relaxing is not enough to motivate me. If it was spring maybe, but winter has a dreary feel to it. We have had a great winter! I think it’s all in my mind the thought of winter that stopping me from adventures, writing and doing the unexpected!
Winter walks are a beautiful experience, especially if you are used to be out of doors by 6 am! By 7 am now I’m ready to explore and breathe the air!
It is exhilarating! The quietness and dreary look around you, my imagination is fired and can’t wait to start writing about…. there when I start it’s all gone puff!!!
Sooo until my mind catches up with my imagination and my fingers I’m stuck in the winter drollery.
I am sure you will find some motivation and be able to pen down your thoughts soon.

Seems to me that your explanation in “Winter Drollery” is, in itself, a beautiful prose poem…
