“Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay.”~Simone de Beauvoir
My life has changed. By choice, and some individuals did it for me, but in a way I tricked them into it. Here I will write about the mundane ravings of a quixotic woman who has put her life on hold.
During this interlude I will write about everything I can possibly can on this site. Freedom of speech will come into play. Some may amuse you, some may offend you. Like Cervantes when he wrote of Don Quijote, I will have Windmills in my Mind.
The date of 4th of July has been meaningful, not because of freedom, but, because anything that can possibly happen has happened to me on the 4th.
Keeping up with tradition I started this site today. I am in The Persuit of Happiness. Let us see if I’ll find it.
Some stuff will be imported from other sites, some will be republished. I am not responsible for the accuracy or errors. My stuff is ©2015, 2016©, 2017©, 2018©️, 2019©️,2020©️, 2021©️, 2022©️, Copyright, you are welcome to republish it as long as credit is given.
Here I will recount my daily travels among the masses, it can be a bus ride, a walk along the beach or just in the neighborhood. The names and stories will derive from my daily encounters but will have no true effect on the individual I come into contact with for they will be replaced with fictional characters and names.
Welcome to my Site. I will be lonely at times, I will welcome feedback and company. You see not too many people like me. This is why I find myself in this predicament.
When the wind of change blows, some people build walls, others build windmills~Chinese proverb

Hi,
Predicament is a beautiful word. As a matter of fact, not too many people like the word itself. 🙂
The word helps a lot in many ways.
Take care.

Looks like a fun blog Solitaire. When I started mine I didn’t know I’d have so much to say. But expressing oneself is therapeutic. Maybe yours will be the same for you! 😉

Thank you, In a world of too much realism, I try to go inward and turning wheels of my imagination and make believe. Thus like Don Quijote I see windmills in my mind.

Thank you, sweetie, for following me and I love your blog! I hope you do find happiness, or at least contentment which I think may actually be a longer-lasting peaceful feeling. I will eagerly follow your journey 🙂
I have another blog for my Commonplace Book (a commonoplace book is someone’s personal collection of quotes, witticisms, sayings, etc.) at http://www.jeneanebehme.wordpress.com and I would love to re-post the Chinese proverb you have at the end of your “About” post.
Would it be okay for me to do so and of course I would acknowledge that I found that quote on your wordpress blog site. I always try to attribute who said what and where on my Commonplace Book blogs but when I started my Books almost 50 years ago, sometimes I was remiss on doing that 😦
I’m so glad to be acquainted with you!

I have a bit of a windmill obsession, myself. I have been collecting them since I read Don Quixote in high school. They remind me that we often see things as we want them to be, rather than how they are.

My weaknesses, I always fall to that trick. Sometimes I have been blind. But just think what a glorious adventure it is to see the world in your colors! Thank you fort sharing your thoughts.

Hello, You found the blog where I write about photography. Unlike the changing thoughts and subjects I find in your blog, I will guarantee my discussions will always be about photography.
You wrote of your, “mundane ravings of a quixotic woman who has put her life on hold”. I have just started to browse and I expect anything but “mundane”.

Windmills. Sometimes I think I road with Don Quixote. But he jousting them and I chase them unsuccessfully. But to see the butterfly vanes are worth it all.

Greetings Solitaire/Windmills.
Such a beautiful site. . What would the world be like if more people liked you, or me for that matter? What is important is being an authentic, original person, who creates ideas of diversity and respect, and of course, loving-kindness in others’ minds.
Being mindful not to intentionally hurt anybody else is one key element on our Path. Take care and keep up the great work.

I never really dived into your work. I guess because I’m always in a rush. When I slow down, like today, I stumble across gems, like your site, that have been waving at me for so long but I never stop to see them. I love your site and your work. I’m glad I slowed down today.
